No one likes to be criticized
However, I have found whenever a critique is offered, there is always some truth to it
Sometimes that critique offends us and we feel hurt, and other times it doesn’t bother us at all (because we already acknowledge the truth in it and brush it off)
So, when someone offers a critique of you, and it offends you, instead of going to judgment of them and how rude they are…try taking a breath and ask yourself what part of that do I believe is true?
What do you make that mean about you?
What if it is true?
Why are you afraid of it?
If you open yourself up to your own thoughts it will allow you to process through it faster
Maybe you will find something about yourself you want to work on and be able to grow
Maybe you’ll just realize that it’s true and that’s okay and you don’t want/need to change at all
But if it triggers you at all, realize it’s because you believe some part of it…stop turning to criticism of them and turn inward to discover yourself
